How do I spend my spare time?

Well, its making really horrible photos that make me laugh... I need to get the real Photoshop and learn how to use it.. But, this just cracked me up...

After a very long night of drinking, and apparently making a nieghbor mad, it was finally time to call it a night.. (or day as you see...) Can you say exhausted AND hungover?

Saturday night was a blast. I was at El Arroyo early and ran into Molly who invited me downtown with her friends. We all met up at Backstage Bar at La Zona Rosa. Molly and her friends rock and you can see why!

You are healed my son...

I thought for awhile I was going to have to call an old priest and a young priest to heal me. Finally the ACLDS is gone.. (Austin City Limits Dust Syndrome) I am healed!!! Look out bartenders, I am coming back, with a VENGENCE!

ACLD Syndrome...

Austin City Limits Dust Syndrome. I claim the discovery of this new disease as it's the only thing explaining the misery I am feeling right now. Yesterday I left the apartment at 6:30 am to be the first person to walk into the H.E.B. Grocery and purchase $30 worth of over the counter meds. I feel better only in the sense that my eyeballs will not be pushed out of their sockets by my sinus cavity. This is what I get for laughing at everyone who put a bandana over their mouths. I hear them laughing now...

Austin City Limits Festival 2005 Recap...

What a festival it was...

Best to scroll to the last pic and scroll up to see the pics in the right order.

Kasbian was the first act I saw. They rocked and it set the tone for this year's fest. It was the most enjoyable for me this year over the previous festivals. The pictures will tell the story. But, here are some thank you's for my friends out there who made this weekend amazing.

Nikki Q, you are my all access goddess. David Whitney, all I can say is after party. Marc Brown, may you never lose that inflatable mic. Amy & Dave, without you taking care of my ticket needs; I never would have gone. Kaylee, you are my superhero. Cara & Socrates, I had so much fun the first day because of you two. Angie, you and your husband rock!

Also everyone who I shared a drink or a fun time and didn't mention by name. We had a lot of fun!

Here are some highlights...

Best Show: So many.. But The Decemberists take the title, with Arcade Fire and The Black Crowes in a tie. The crowd was into it, they sounded amazing, so what more could you ask for in a show.

Biggest Suprise: Keane. Check them out. And the Cingular Photo tent. AC and fun pics taken!

unexpected Fun: The Real Heroes! Ran into so many people I knew, had a blast! Also see Cingular Photo tent above...

Best Food: Maudie's Chilled Wrap. 5 bucks for a sandwich that was amazing. Filling, chilling, and thrilling!

Worst Food : (from Cara) Hudson's on the Bend. 5 bucks for two bites of 1.5 oz of avocado fried. Imagine a small cone cup from the water fountain filled halfway..

Best after party: Factory People. Fun! Jane Magazine was a close second!

Worst after party: Austin Daze-Trail of Dead. Guys, throw a party or have a kegger, but don't throw an ACL Kegger that sells beer and gives away vodka. Could have been awesome...

Worst moment: Trying to find people at Coldplay. I got stuck in the middle of the crowd and you couldn't move anywhere as everyone was territorial. I just wanted to leave and I had to plead and argue just to get out of the crowd.

We found her friends.. Mine? Oh I lost all of them..

I ran into this girl when she was looking for her friends.. Gotta love the festival.. She was hilarious!

This sums up how bad the dust was.. Coldplay...

The festival takes it all from this fan of Coldplay...

Ok, Coldplay was the final show.. And it was so jammed people were sitting on top of the portalets! The dots are dustm as visiblity was horrible after 40 feet.. It was so dusty it was like a heavy fog.. People wore bandanas over their mouths for the longest time...

Look out! A Whale!

The Decemberists were my favorite act of the festival...

Except for this guy.. The crowd pelted him with water bottles right after I took this.

And we did...

The Decemberists.. He is asking everyone to be quiet and get down on a knee...

The Decemberists again...

The Decemberists...

The Arcade Fire. Simply amazing!

The Bravery... The guitarist on the left had just come off the top of the stage after he clinbed it..

Kaiser Chiefs... I predict a riot!!!

The Doves..

M83.. A great recommendation!

These are my feet. Tired. They wanted to be home. But instead they were sitting outside the Omni while we waited for people to understand that it was time for sleep at 4:45am. Bedtime finally arrived at 5:45am.

Its 3am again.. Jane Magazine after party...

Here is a shot of Oasis when I went out to see if I could find my friends.... Ha, good luck...

I was a little, ok VERY intoxicated during Oasis. The only pic I really took.. They rocked! Wonderwall was amazing!

Backstage at Oasis... DJ Shane, Nikki, and the girls from Gibson!

Bloc Party!

Backstage at Bloc Party

Nikki, Anna, and Paige..

The Real Heroes.. An Austin band on the verge of greatness!

Death Cab for Cutie!

The Frames...

Aqualung!! Day 2 starting off great!

It's 3am so what do you do? After-party.

Tien and Ellie... What can one say...

Friday, September 23, 2005

Black Crowes.. Unbelievable!!!

Blue October.. Yes, they are STILL around...

They look like binoculars, but its a flask.. Mmmm... Vodka....

Keane. A good recommendation from someone I met from the U.K.

Thievery Corporation. I would love to see them somewhere besides a festival...

Spoon!! Austin's own packed the house!
