Did you never read the warning label???
In Waco, Texas a pastor at a Baptist church electrocuted himself with a microphone while standing in waist deep water. Um, yeah... Another rocket scientist lost...

Late Night Antics...
A MySpace message comes in. It's my neighbor David. He needs to vent on a situation, actually multiple, so we go for a drive to Wal-Mart.. Going to Wal-Mart makes me happy. Why? Because no matter how bad things are I am not working at Wal-Mart. Have you been to a Wal-Mart at 4am? No rockets will be built from that clientele..
Oh, and they have squat for Halloween. Wait... If I wanted to do a costume I wouldn't go to the Halloween area, I would just go to their selection of clothing. U-G-L-Y...
I got a funny call from another while on this trip.. Got to love the drunken chats...
Can't believe I didn't have a beer tonite..
Mmmm sleep... This time sober..

One of the funniest things I have read...
Check this blog entry on Katie Holmes. It has to be one of the most well written roasts on a celebrity. We needed one of these when Michael Jackson was with Lisa Marie Presley...

Can you cut the feed to monitor #2???
Local Music. I love it. Struggling musicians on the cusp of making it singing their hearts out to the fans that knew them when. Molly introduced me to the muscial stylings of a Miss Wendy Colonna and took me to the Saxon Pub to see her. It was a first for both, as I have never been to the Saxon, and I was really impressed with the acoustics.
A cocky little scotsman I know who attempted music management of a local band once introduced them with the phrase "Singing the songs tonite you'll be humming with your breakfast in the morning..." That is my favorite thing about a good show. How often do you shell out 20 bucks or more to see an artist who has a road crew and they sound horrible. Give me someone who hasn't sold out yet who has to do sound checks every so often in their set any day.
Another thing I enjoyed was seeing how much Molly really liked the show. She was grinning from ear to ear and every so often sang along. She's had a week that hasn't exactly been the best to her so I was excited things worked out that she could make it.
After the show, we headed up to Dallas. Oh the Lonestars, oh the memories. Mmm Mmm good. Laurie was there at Jac's bar and she didn't know we were coming. What I didn't know is that I was going to have 3-4 cups of ice water poured down my back and pants all night. I guess I must have looked dehydrated. Thanks for looking out for me girls.. (karma.. all I gotta say. look out Molls...)

Oh the places you'll go...
Team Lunacy was back to their old tricks again. Molly and I went to Pluckers for a bit while Laurie went to Dallas to meet up with Matt and Jac at Dallas. All you can eat wings seems like such a good idea sometimes.
Once we all met up it was pool, tunes, and beers o plenty. I will let the pictures tell the rest.

Did you say $1 Tecate???
That was how my afternoon really started after leaving a very relaxed day at work. I sat at El Arroyo for a bit enjoying the WiFi and cheap beer. I sent out a text to everyone seeing what was going on. Of course Laurie and Molly were up for adventures.
They met me at my apartment complex after I finished the Monday Night Football night. I will let the pics tell the rest of the story, but let me tell this part...
While we were at Beerland, I met Wilmer Vilderrama's body guard. We were chatting and then he bought us a round of Lonestars and brought Wilmer over and introduced us. See, that's how I roll - The stars come to me... LOL...

Dancing about gelato...
I had gelato with a friend last night when I was trying to figure out what to do with my evening. Amy, who is my best friend, and I haven't had an opportunity to chat in awhile. It was nice to catch up, or wait, for her to catch up with what was going in with me... ( hey, it was MY turn...)
I gotta say her perspective is right on in so many ways. It was what the doctor ordered. I was on my way to Emo's after, and last minute, stayed home.
Why? Many reasons.. But there wasn't a reason besides seeing a show to override the others.
I stopped by Blockbuster and rented episodes of LOST. Definately the way to go.
Hurley cracks my shit up.

Last night was an odd one. Not bad but odd none the less. I was in an off mood. I should have been relaxed and happy as I took a nice power nap to the sounds of Journey. I woke up just wasn't feeling it. I even made an 80's anthology for someone I knew and couldn't get out of this funk. Mollie and I went for the evening walk and I got a Red Bull while she licked every person she saw. My dog is becoming very popular in the neighborhood.
Anywho, the funk was becoming annoying so I decided to get out and be social. Then I looked up as it was really bright for being evening and of course there is a big ol' moon shining ever so bright in the evening sky. What this picture did not show, as by the time I was done walking the dog the wind had moved them, was the clouds that had surrounded it. It was a scene that reminded me of that painting "Starry Night". The clouds had taken on the same broken halo effect as the painting portrayed.
Thanks moon. You made my night.
Oh, and a sidenote. It takes only 3 licks to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop. The owl was right. Now why would you want to finish one in 3 licks is beyond me. When I was out and talking to someone all of a sudden someone stuck one in my mouth mid sentence and told me to "Get to the center!" I did, maybe out of fear or for the challenge, and it just doesn't satisfy.
Everyone knows you have to take your time and wait until the candy shell is so thing it cracks under the pressure in your mouth. Mmm Mmm. And Cherry is the best. Orange and Chocolate not so much. Just FYI...
